An early christmas

I like to take pride in the fact that our family is a little bit different,
like most families we have our traditions, this we do every year.. something my family started
about 8 or 9 years ago was celebrating christmas early, i'm talking late november to early december. It gets rid of all the chaos on the actual day set on the calendar. no body has to rush off to another family gathering, stuff their bellies with yet another turkey dinner in the same day. I fell it is more relaxing... just sit back enjoy the company of cousins we only see at special
occasions such as showers weddings and christmas :) also, when shopping for gifts, people are still friendly, they are not all in hurry trying to get last minute things, nope, some shoppers havn't even begun to think about christmas yet!anyways, this year it was at my cousins new house in surrey. the house we go too has to be large enough to fit everyone and their dates. yes!!! date are invited, to our already large family gathering. so during these christmas's
something special happens... we get and early visit from the one and only sinter clause, he is the dutch santa, who grandma invited to our dinner on a special request. he enters in with a song that grandma plays on a TAPE DECK (what the heck is that) and he is followed by black pete his handy helper.
he calls out the name on the gift pete hands him, and that person runs up and sits on sinter
clauses knee to receive the gift. it is a very enchanting moment :)this year some this went down that was a little scandalous... I caught sinter clause on tape kissing one of my cousins wifes... oh my what a shocker...

besides that christmas was a blast like always.. the strawberry mouse always a hit and who
knew wild salmon and lasagna was part of the christmas feast...
enjoy your Christmas traditions with your families, it is, the best time of the year :)

Early morning

well, I'm just sitting here on my long break at work. its too late to fall asleep, and to early to go home... 1 1/2 hours left to go. I can do it. any ways, while I was catching the baby for the c-section I started thinking about my crazy little monkey sleeping in his bed at home. who would have imagined he would turn out to be such an fun loving energetic little monkey. He is 14 months now and walking every where like crazy. he still doesn't speak English too well, but i know that will come, then i will be wishing I could get some quiet.
any ways... the thing about little monkeys is that they like to get into everything, which kinda makes cleaning/ cooking and showering difficult tasks. lately since I have been busy packing up our whole life, (and man oh man, we have tones of stuff, its ridiculous) Hudson G gets these great urges to wanna help, which is great, but his form of helping is unpacking the box while I am turned around getting more stuff to put in it, which makes packing double the length. another fun thing to do is flip into the box and play peek- a - boo. man that kid is none stop, always going going, going, wish some of his energy could rub off on me sometimes and even things out a bit... any ways, I'm about to fall asleep at the computer, g'nite and for most of the world good morning

Almost done

Oh my goodness, it has been such a long time, so much has changed since the last time i wrote.
The painters have finished their painting job, and our house has been sold for about a month and a half now. I thought it would be easier to find a house to buy and make our own, then try and sell our house.. I turns out I was wrong.
we have had no luck in the house hunting department, seems as though people wanna stay in their house for the holidays. I had dreams of actually getting a christmas tree this year, and decorating our house for christmas. making new memories and starting new traditions. seems like that dream will be put off for one more year. In the mean time we have been slowly moving all our stuff to my mom and dads house. kind of handy, but not at the same time. It's good cause we aren't with out some where to go, and hudson will get to spend extra time with his grandparents. bad thing is that we have to move twice, but I guess thats the price we have to pay to find the perfect house.

October

October is here. It feels as though it has come up fast. just think, in 2 months it will be christmas, and then in 2 more months the olympics, and then in 2 more months my birthday!! goodness, time sure does fly. so.... what has October brought already. cold weather, shorter days, and a sold house. It finally sold after one week of dropping the price by only 5000. with this news, October has also brought feelings of excitement, anxiety, and sadness. Excitement for a new house, looking for the new house and finally getting a christmas tree. Anxiety about actually being able to find a house we both like in a month, packing and moving, and the never ending pile of bills. finally sadness... leaving this nice house and entering the unknown, leaving the first house we have owned, made memories in. what if our next house isn't nice, how long will it take to feel like home, and look nice again. things you don't really think about when you are busy trying to sell. these thoughts come after when you are no longer busy with constant tidying and cleaning. well i hope the excitement of finding a new house comes back, if not, i have a feeling this October will go by very slowly.

So, you all know that i am trying to sell my house! it's been on the market for about 2 months now, with tones of lookers, but no one serious enough to make an offer :(
well today we had a viewing, and like always I clean up my house, so it's looking perfect, the people get here and i go outside for a bit! I try so hard to keep Hudson from making a mess, while we wait.
well today i come back home, and start opening the mail, and my phone rings, so i start walking around while talking on the phone like always, (this really bothers micheal for some reason), I look out the window to my back yard, and there was a dead something lying in the grass. ewwwwwwwwww.... my toes started to tingle and i yelled into the phone. oh my goodness, why oh why does the stupid neighbor cat have to leave it in my yard! I dont even like her. dont get me wrong, i lived with cats my whole life, i like cats... but this cat.... this cat drives me crazy. she thinks she can just hang out where ever she wants. in my house, in my backyard, ect.
anyways, I never thought to look in my backyard before i left my house. I hope the nice people weren't offended by the dead carcass just lying in plain view in the grass!! I may just have to give it back to the cat. leave it in her yard, see how she feels about that! :)

They are still at it

Last time they were painting the front deck, well today they are back at it, except, they are painting the back of the house. I feel like an animal stuck in a cage. All my blinds are open, so they can see in, and there is no where for me to hide, well except up stairs. every move i make now is carefully planned, as to not show them to much of my self. I'm pretty sure they are enjoying Handy Mandy as they paint my extremely large window. Well, Hudson has a different view of the painters being in his back yard. he crawled up to the window, just stood their watching them. he thought it was the coolest thing. but when they wouldn't open the door to let him come play with them, he felt put out. like he expecting something in return for befriending them. Boy will he learn fast!
hmmmm... what else is new... well this weekend we attended yet another wedding. And yes, I bought a new dress of course, but it was no where near as beautiful as my BCBG dress #1 (as seen in the picture to the right). I still have yet to purchase #2 and #3, being on mat leave limits me a bit on what i can and can not buy. :( soon and very soon, I will be back at work, and ready to buy dress #2. Well it is nap timenow.

New at this

I thought I would try this whole blog thing out, since I have a few that i read every once and a while. Hmm... what's new with me, well i tried wake boarding for the first time last weekend and i am still paying for it. all the muscles in y upper body are so very sore. I dont know if my whole 15 seconds of getting up on the board was worth all this pain!
what else... well as i write, there is a blond young man painting my window. it could be awkward if he knew i was watching every move he made as i peek through my blinds. haha what he doesnt know wont hurt him. Well, now he has jumped onto my front deck, where I am in plain site (man, should have kept the curtain closed today). Oh boy, i hope he doesnt catch me doing anything awkward.
anyways.... new topic.... hmm.... I cant stop thinking about what he might be doing now, its very distracting. I feel as though i am stuck at the computer, because if I move I may disclose my secret spying space!!!
wow, how did he do that! used cat like maneuvers to get from my deck to the neighbors without making a peep. ohh, he is back, now with a huge ladder that extends past my spy window up to Hudsons room. I sure hope he doesn't wake him up.
well, i should make my escape before he returns to the deck, and spoils everything.
till next time.
